Customisation

Integration of an off-the-shelf adjuvant in vaccine formulation is very challenging. Every formulation is different in terms of buffer types, antigen complexity, surface charge, pH, surfactant, and storage conditions.  Aluminum Oxyhydroxide and Aluminum Phosphate are the only two alternatives available to vaccine producers and it can be difficult to integrate these pre-formed commercial adjuvants into formulations.

Adjucon's adjuvant can be customised for the minor physiochemical changes that allow these adjuvants to integrate with their formulations.

Our Service

Evidence shows that the activity of aluminum-based adjuvants can be significantly improved by rationally modifying their physiochemical properties.

We work on the following attributes to help better formulate vaccines:

  • pH-dependent surface charge.

  • The degree of crystallinity.

  • Point of zero charge

  • Effect of the composition of the buffers.

  • Functional groups

  • Salinity and Adjuvant aggregation

  • Sedimentation

  • Other
